About the project
The brief for this project was to create a statement Sauna that combined architectural impact with exceptional performance. The design needed to feel purposeful and refined, integrating seamlessly into its surroundings while enhancing the character of the space rather than competing with it.
Every aspect of the Sauna was considered, from proportion and layout to materials and functionality, ensuring it delivered a balanced wellness environment that feels immersive, considered, and built for long-term enjoyment.

Initial Consultation & Planning
To realise the design vision, a bespoke Infinity Sauna from our Luxury Line was specified by the client and manufactured to custom dimensions to suit the space precisely. Given the unique nature of the property and its setting, the design and build process also required careful consideration of how the sauna would be manufactured, transported, and installed without compromise.
Thermowood.56 was selected for the interior Wall finishes and curved Thermowood benching, providing a rich, warm aesthetic while offering excellent stability and performance in high-heat environments.
The surrounding structure was thoughtfully incorporated into the overall design, ensuring the sauna integrated naturally within its environment while enhancing the visual impact of the space. The contrast between materials creates a refined, contemporary finish that feels both substantial and elegant.
As with all of our bespoke installations, every element was planned in detail, from proportions and internal layout to controls and safety systems, resulting in a fully customised, high-performance sauna designed for long-term, everyday wellness use.

Logistics & Delivery
Due to the property’s remote riverside location with no direct road access, the Sauna had to be transported by boat along the River Dart.
Once on site, it was carefully unloaded onto the jetty before being manually handled and prepared by our installation team.
The final stage involved lifting the sauna into position using a boat-mounted crane, ensuring complete control throughout the process to avoid any damage to load or surrounding area.
This type of delivery requires detailed planning, clear coordination, and experienced handling at every stage, from transport and unloading through to final placement.
It was a complex logistical challenge, but one we were fully prepared for… and delivered without compromise, of course…

The Build begins…
With the cabin delivered, carefully unloaded, and fully prepared for installation, our team began the build, applying the same methodical approach and attention to detail that underpins every project we deliver.
The installation was carried out step by step, from structural assembly and panel alignment through to internal finishes and final detailing. Each element was checked and refined as the build progressed to ensure accuracy, stability, and a flawless finish.
Working within the constraints of the site, our team ensured the sauna was assembled precisely as specified, without compromise to quality or performance.
The result was a professionally built, purpose-finished Infinity Sauna that reflects both the craftsmanship of its manufacture and the care taken during on-site installation, delivering a seamless, high-quality wellness space ready for commissioning and use.

A Truly Immersive Experience
Integrated White LED lighting is carefully incorporated within ceiling using indirect illumination to enhance depth, warmth, and atmosphere without overpowering the natural materials. The result is a calm, immersive environment that feels considered and intentional from the moment you step inside.
Drawing from the Infinity range’s design principles, lighting was used to complement the clean lines, curved bench aesthetic, and premium Thermowood finishes, subtly highlighting form and texture while maintaining a refined, spa-grade ambience. This approach creates a space that transitions effortlessly from day to evening use, supporting both relaxation and visual impact.
The Sauna feels modern, balanced, and deeply restorative, a private wellness environment shaped by precision detailing, architectural lighting, and the understated luxury that defines our Infinity and Dream collections.

Client Handover & Final Satisfaction
With installation complete and all systems fully commissioned, the Infinity Sauna was handed over ready for everyday use. Every element was tested to ensure consistent performance, reliable heat delivery, and seamless operation, resulting in a cabin that performs exactly as intended.
Featuring an intuitive touchscreen control, the sauna allows precise management of temperature and settings, ensuring a consistently tailored experience. The combination of architectural design, premium materials, and advanced technology delivers a refined sauna environment that feels both immersive and effortless to use.
