About the project

For our Chester Spa project, we were given a complete blank canvas and asked to create a truly special wellness space. Working closely with our client, we designed and delivered a luxurious spa area that brings together a steam room, sauna, experience shower, spa pool and a dedicated dry flotation therapy room. The result is a seamless blend of premium design and advanced wellness technology, transforming an empty space into an exceptional destination for relaxation and recovery, and we did just that.

Project Brief

The Chester project began with a detailed consultation to understand our client’s vision for a luxury spa within their new facility. The brief was to transform a blank canvas into a high-end wellness space featuring a sauna, steam room, experience shower, spa pool and a dry flotation therapy room.

Alongside the design, we carefully planned for drainage, heating, ventilation and spa technology to ensure long-term performance.

By combining premium materials with tailored technical solutions, we delivered a spa environment that balances refined aesthetics with functionality, creating a truly exceptional destination.

Design & Development

Our in-house design team produced bespoke visuals and technical drawings, collaborating closely with the client at every stage to ensure the concept aligned perfectly with their goals. From the choice of materials and finishes to the integration of lighting, controls and layouts, every element was carefully planned and executed to deliver an exceptional spa environment that combines operational efficiency with a truly premium look and feel.

In the steam room, we specified elegant Calacatta Gold porcelain on the walls and finishes, paired with seamless white Corian benches to create a clean, luxurious, and timeless environment.

To enhance the atmosphere, integrated LED lighting provides a soft, ambient glow that can be tailored to suit different moods and experiences.

At the heart of the system, a powerful Carel steam generator ensures consistent steam production, reliability, and precise control of temperature and humidity, delivering an indulgent and restorative spa experience with every use.

Exquisite Finishes & Materials

For the Chester project, the client selected our Dream Collection, a range defined by craftsmanship, innovation and uncompromising quality. The sauna was constructed using a refined combination of thermowood and hemlock, chosen for their durability, heat resistance and elegant natural aesthetic.

To elevate the experience, we integrated ambient LED lighting and a built-in speaker system for a multisensory environment.

At its core, the sauna is powered by a high-performance EOS heater, delivering powerful, consistent heat for an authentic and luxurious wellness experience.

Technology Integration

To complement the sauna, steam room and spa pool, we installed a state-of-the-art Experience Shower, designed to stimulate the senses and elevate the overall wellness journey.

The system is controlled via piezo touch buttons, which activate a sequence of hot and cold bursts for a fully immersive and energising experience.

Programmed water patterns, temperature changes and lighting make the sensory shower a distinctive feature within the Chester spa.

Combining precision technology with premium finishes, the result is a seamless integration of wellness and innovation.

Hydrotherapy Spa Pool

At the heart of the Chester spa, we designed and installed a bespoke spa pool that combines luxury, performance and functionality. Seating up to six people, its water jets are arranged across the seating positions for a consistent in-water experience.

Finished in elegant Azari mosaic tiles, it forms a visually striking centrepiece within the room.

Behind the pool, a dedicated plant room was built to house the full filtration and treatment system.

This ensures crystal-clear water quality at all times, along with a faultless and reliable operation, essential for both commercial and high-usage environments. By integrating premium technology with meticulous design, the spa pool offers a centrepiece of relaxation and rejuvenation that will perform to the highest standards for years to come.

Dry Flotation Therapy

To complete the Chester spa project, we installed a fully configured Dry Flotation Bed. Its flexible membrane supports the user above temperature-controlled water, creating a floating sensation while they remain dry and clothed.

The bed is equipped with integrated water-jet functions, built-in speakers and programmable coloured lighting. Together, these features create a configurable multi-sensory environment within the dry-flotation room.

As part of the wider spa, the dry flotation bed adds a unique and premium therapy option, ensuring guests can enjoy a complete wellness journey within the facility.

Every detail, from the careful selection of premium materials such as thermowood, hemlock, porcelain, Corian, and mosaics, through to the integration of advanced technology including LED lighting, piezo-controlled showers, Carel steam generation, and EOS sauna heating, was executed to the highest possible standard.

The final outcome is a professional, high-capacity wellness solution that elevates the client’s facility, creating a standout destination for relaxation, recovery, and performance.

Final Handover & Client Experience

After extensive testing, calibration, and system checks, the entire wellness area was officially handed over to the client with a full on-site walkthrough. This covered every element of the installation, including functionality, smart control systems, and ongoing maintenance procedures, ensuring the client and their team were fully confident in operating the facilities from day one.

The result is a fully integrated, commercial-grade wellness environment, featuring a Dream Collection sauna, a Calacatta Gold steam room with Corian benches, an immersive experience shower, a hydrotherapy spa pool, and a dry flotation therapy room. Each space has been engineered for durability, ease of use, and consistent performance, with particular attention paid to drainage, ventilation, heating, and filtration systems to guarantee long-term reliability.
