We were contacted by our client with a clear vision: to create a premium traditional Finnish sauna in their basement in Chigwell, delivering exceptional heat, comfort, and craftsmanship in a space that was limited. After discussing their preferences, available space, and desired performance, we did what we do best: transformed their ideas into a beautifully built, tailor-made sauna designed precisely around their needs.

As with all of our wellness cabin projects, we produce full 3D renders and detailed design plans before any production begins. This ensures absolute clarity, accuracy, and confidence for every client, regardless of the complexity of the space.

For this bespoke project in Chigwell, precision was essential. Working within a highly constrained basement layout meant there was zero room for error: every measurement, material choice, and technical detail had to be perfectly planned in advance.

Our design process allowed us to visualise the final build in exact detail, ensuring a seamless installation and a flawless finished result.

Every Pure Wellness Co. cabin is designed to be more than functional; it’s crafted to transform the way a space feels. In this project, dynamic LED lighting was integrated throughout the benches and backrests to create a calming, immersive atmosphere the moment you step inside. The soft glow enhances the natural grain of the timber while elevating the overall wellness experience, day or night.

As with many of our bespoke builds, lighting played a crucial role in shaping the environment. Using indirect illumination and custom-placement techniques, we achieved a refined, spa-grade ambience similar to our projects in Malmesbury and Putney, but uniquely tailored to this Chigwell home.

The result is a modern, luxurious space that feels both inviting and deeply restorative, a private wellness retreat crafted with precision and intention in every detail.
